Task 1 - Animoto
Create an animoto video depicting the wildlife of Antarctica. Your video should include images, sourced from creative commons websites, and include text which identifies the wildlife and even some short facts to engage your audience. All images used must be obtained via a creative commons search engine and the website used acknowledged in your bibliography.
Some creative commons search engines you might like to try are:
Pics4Learning
Wikimedia Commons
Creative Commons Search
Google Images with CC search option
The red iPads also have some apps which contain images that you can save and email to yourself to include in your Animoto. The name of the app and publisher should be included in your bibliography.
Once you've published your animoto, obtain the embed code and embed it to your Antarctic Wildlife page on your website using the Custom HTML element.

Task 2 - Create a multimedia poster
A glog is a multimedia poster, which means it can include text, audio, images and video. Your task is to create an informative glog about an Antarctic animal of your choice. You will need to research widely and include references on both your glog and website bibliography.
You can include images, audio and video accessed from the internet but you can also be as creative as you like and might like to create your own digital images, audio clips or video snippets that include facts about your chosen animal. You can insert an animoto, voki or a tagxedo word cloud on your topic.
Here are some glogs made by Year 6 students at Bald Face Public School. They might give you some ideas on where to get started.

Task 3 - Create an animation depicting a food chain in the Antarctic.
Conduct some research into the eating habits of the animals of the Antarctic then create an animation or interactive image depicting a possible food chain. Remember that a food chain must begin with a source of energy.
You may create your animation using any website, program or app available to you. Some suggestions are: PowerPoint, ABCya! Animation, imgflip, CreateAGif, ThingLink, iMotion (app). Here's a ThingLink interactive image depicting the life cycle of a butterfly. You could use some of the ideas here to create your own interactive food chain. Thanks to Susan Oxvenad for sharing this image.
And no, penguins don't eat humans. They just like to scare them! :)

Task 5 - Create a video with the pupose of informing your audience about a selected Antarctic animal.
Research your selected animal carefully, recording your information in a mind map, table or point form. Decide what the most interesting and important facts are and create a great video to teach others about your animal. You can create a script and video yourself presenting in documentary style or you might like to try out this app - Crabs and Penguins Talking Penguin - and present your documentary as a penguin! Each video clip can only be 15 seconds long. So you'll need to record several videos and then put them together in iMovie. Once you've completed your movie, email it off to yourself and then upload it to your Antarctica Wildlife page.
